How I Got Here

In 2009, I was offered a promotion to Office Manager of a high-pressure emergency veterinary clinic. Scared as hell, I took the opportunity and never looked back... ok maybe once or twice. Stepping into that role, I immediately saw critical operational gaps, a team craving real leadership, and a chance to completely overhaul how the clinic functioned. That experience was a crash course in managing chaos and building systems. Though I hated some moments at the time, I realize now just how vital that trial by fire training was for my journey.

In 2016, life took a turn when I met my now husband, Eddie. A short time later, I left the only place I ever knew as home, (SW Florida), to put down roots in North Carolina. After sixteen years of 40+ hour weeks, this phase gave me space to reset, play with my horses, and explore what entrepreneurial life could look like.

In 2021, we moved to the Raleigh area and I faced unexpected health challenges. That struggle led me down a deep rabbit hole of holistic living, learning that you have to treat the root cause, not just the symptom. During this time, I also took a corporate role that deepened my understanding of conscious leadership, customer experience, and scalable business systems. It cemented my belief that these elements need a truly symbiotic relationship for a company to thrive.

By late 2024, I was ready to combine my operational brain with my holistic heart. Thus, Cleverly Managed was born. Today, I serve as an Online Business Manager (OBM) and strategic thought partner for holistic health professionals who are ready to scale but feel stuck on a plateau. There's something about helping mission-driven business owners get strategic clarity, streamline their operations, and execute plans that actually work that just fills my cup.

If you can't tell... I'm a total nerd for these things!
